Neely Green Biodiesel Workshops

Come to one of our biodiesel workshops to learn how to make biodiesel. We hold workshops in Montgomery NY, Ashland, VA, and in Newark DE.

Our workshops are comprehensive and hands-on. We cover all aspects of making biodiesel including the actual processing, dry or water washing and drying. We cover the economics of biodiesel, oil collection and use of biodiesel in various vehicles.

Please join us for a hands-on workshop on how to make your own biodiesel from used cooking oil. Workshops are 4 hours long. Our workshops are intended for those serious about learning all about the craft of making biodiesel.

We also serve lunch at our workshops.

You will learn:

• What biodiesel is (and is not)
• Myths and facts about biodiesel
• How you can make it yourself
• Simple tests for biodiesel quality.
• Where and How you can use your home made biodiesel
• Safe storage and handling of supplies and equipment.
• How to find, qualify, collect and transport used cooking oil.

You will get to:

• Perform a titration test of the oil to determine its quality.
• Qualify oil from restaurants.
• Make your own full batch of biodiesel using the Fuelmeister or Fuelpod.
• Perform several quality tests on your biodiesel.

You will receive:

• A biodiesel sample (Bring a suitable small container)
• A test of your oil (Bring an oil sample to test)
