History

The founder of Neely Green Solutions, Tom Herbert purchased a VW Jetta TDI, his first diesel about 10 years ago. During many long drives up and down the mid-Atlantic and North East as a consulting engineer, he became increasingly concerned about burning non-renewable fossil fuel, America's increasing dependence on foreign oil sources and global warming. Wherever he could,  he would purchase pure biodiesel (B100) and was impressed at how well the VW ran biodiesel while reaching more then 50 miles per gallon. He wanted to make his own fuel from waste vegetable oil and began researching available kits and plans for home made processors. In the meantime, in the summer of 2006, his friends at Windfall Farms asked him to help select and set up a biodiesel processor. Tom combined forces with WF Farms and after completing the research, purchased a Fuelmeister I for use at WF Farms. He was so impressed with the processor and wanted to share his success so he became a Fuelmeister dealer.  So Neely Green Solutions was born in September 2006.

Neely Green started regular biodiesel workshops at Windfall Farms in Fall 2006. In the winter of 2007, Neely Green started giving workshops in Frazer Pennsylvania, a mainline Philadelphia suburb. Neely Green Solutions was incorporated in early 2008 and a new branch was established once suitable space was obtained in Ashland Virginia in May of 2008.

In September 2007, Neely Green was invited to show his equipment at the Village Green in Farmaid 2007. In September 2008, Neely Green had a booth at the Virginia State Fair. In 2008, Neely Green moved the mid-Atlantic workshops from Frazer to Newark, DE.
